From the Danbury Patch: Danbury’s $7 Million Road Paving Investment

August 24, 2023

Today, Mayor Dean Esposito released the City of Danbury’s weekly “This Week in the City” video discussing road milling and paving with Antonio Iadarola, City of Danbury Director of Public Works and City Engineer.

In total, the City of Danbury is paving over 10 miles of road and working on a mile and a half of pavement preservation this year. Mayor Dean Esposito allocated over $7 million towards paving in the 2023-2024 fiscal year budget, and residents will see that money put to work in the upcoming weeks as they drive around Danbury.

“My hat goes off to the Public Works Department for all they do for the people of this city to keep our residents smooth sailing,” said Mayor Esposito.

Mayor Dean Esposito is also working closely with the State of Connecticut to encourage the improvement of major State-maintained roads in Danbury including Main Street, Clapboard Ridge Road, Lake Avenue Extension, South Street, Newtown Road, and Padanaram Road.
